Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is hoping his three young starting linebackers make the progress he expects against Arkansas State.
Pelini said after the team’s practice on Friday that he was encouraged by the play of Will Compton and Sean Fisher, both redshirt freshmen linebackers.
He expects them to play even better on Saturday against the Red Wolves.
Pelini says Arkansas State’s quarterback Corey Leonard can run and throw, presenting a challenge that Pelini hopes his young defense can meet.
