Metropolitan State College has chosen the team that will design, build and run its new hotel learning center slated to open in 2012 on the Auraria campus.
The team includes Mortenson Construction & Development, Sage Hospitality, RNL, JG Johnson Architects, Studio INSITE, Swerdling & Associates, RBC and HVS.
The project, at Speer Boulevard and Auraria Parkway, will be a functioning hotel with conference facilities, as well as a teaching and learning center for the College’s Hospitality, Tourism and Events students and faculty.
It will have about 180 hotel rooms, 21,000 square feet of conference space and 21,000 square feet of academic space.
