Theiss — Mr. Touchdown:

Conifer’s Stephen Theiss rushed just five times Friday but made the most of them in the Lobos’ 49-13 win over Skyview. Theiss scored touchdowns on his first four runs, going 23, 2, 22 and 29 yards. Theiss, who ran for three TDs in last week’s opener, finished with 77 yards.

99 yards or bust:

Dre Lester scored the longest possible touchdown run but it wasn’t enough for Harrison, which committed four turnovers and lost 36-10 to Pueblo County. Lester ran for 160 yards, including a 99-yarder.

TDs by run, pass and pick:

Pine Creek senior Nick Markowski scored four TDs in the 42-7 win over Liberty. Markowski scored on a 1-yard run, 49- and 56-yard pass receptions and a 102-yard interception return.
