Police in Greenwood Village are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who tried to abduct a boy earlier this month.
The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the 7800 block of East Orchard Road, according to police.
An 11-year-old boy told police he was walking when a man tried to snatch him. The suspect is described as a white man, possibly in his 40s. He was wearing a bandana on his head and had medium-length hair and a moustache.
The attempted child abduction happened in an area near a parking lot shared by several businesses. The suspect fled on foot.
There was a concert that night at nearby Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, and the parking lot was busy, police said. Investigators hope someone in the lot, or a passer-by, witnessed the attempted abduction.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sarah Malafronte at 303-773-2525.
