The number of clients seeking help from the Food Bank for Larimer County increased 25 percent this year, on par with other U.S. food banks.
According to a Feeding America survey of food banks released Monday, the country’s food banks have experienced a dramatic increase in the number of clients seeking help since the recession hit about a year ago. About 12,000 unduplicated clients are served at the Larimer food bank, up from 9,000 per month last year, executive director Amy Pezzani said.
