Pioneer nostalgia. In addition to hosting its Annual Spanish Colonial Art show, a juried event featuring some of the region’s most celebrated artists, the 1830s Rendezvous and Spanish Colonial Market includes period- dressed mountain men and women trappers and traders selling buckskin clothing and beaver-skin hats, an authentic 1830s Rendezvous encampment, and traditional mountain-man competitions including the tomahawk throw, a black powder shoot and a burro race.
