Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick vs. Rams defensive line. Kaepernick can pick apart teams with his wheels and his arm, although Notre Dame kept him contained in the opener. The Rams have six sacks so far and are ninth in the nation, allowing just 43.5 yards on the ground.

Players to watch

Nevada: Hard-charging junior running back Vai Taua was a bright spot in the loss at Notre Dame, rushing for 114 yards. He ran for 1,521 yards last season, the fourth-best single-season total in Nevada history.

Colorado State: The Rams will be at full strength in the backfield as junior John Mosure returns to the field after missing a week with a head injury.

With a win Saturday, Colorado State coach Steve Fairchild can tie Sonny Lubick at 10-6 for the second-best best start by a coach in program history.
