PHOENIX—Colorado closer Huston Street could return as early as Sunday from biceps tendinitis that has sidelined him since Sept. 1.
Manager Jim Tracy said Street reported no pain after a 15-pitch simulated game on Friday afternoon at Chase Field. Tracy said Street would take Saturday off but could be available for the finale of a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Colorado has converted seven of eight save opportunities in Street’s absence, with Franklin Morales saving six games in that stretch. Street has 33 saves in 34 chances.
