Five people were hurt when a sport utility vehicle was hit at a Denver intersection Sunday night.
Four of the five passengers were ejected. They were rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, but their conditions were unknown. No names were released.
“It might be up to four children, some teenagers, some younger,” said Detective Lesley Branch-Wise, a spokeswoman for the Denver Police Department.
One of the two vehicles involved crashed into a utility pole after the collision at West Florida Avenue and South Tejon Street just after 7 p.m., She did not know if the driver who caused the accident had been charged.
“It appears alcohol played a part in this,” she said. “It’s still early, and the investigation isn’t complete, but the early information is that alcohol is suspected.”
