The bad rap on Kyle Orton was that the Broncos quarterback lacked arm strength. Some compared him to Brian Griese.
But through two games this season, Orton has the second-most completions of 25 yards or more in the NFL. His seven long completed passes trail only the Giants’ Eli Manning. And Orton even leads red-hot Drew Brees of New Orleans.
Orton is averaging 14.1 yards per completion this season, which ranks fourth in the NFL. He has five 25-yarders to wide receivers and two to tight ends.
