Authorities are still working to confirm the identity of a man who died Friday night in a residential fire in Greeley.
County Coroner Mark Ward told the Greeley Tribune the victim was a middle-aged man but that it may require DNA evidence to make a positive identification.
Fire Marshal Dale Lyman of Union Colony Fire Rescue in Greeley said the fire broke out at a residence in the 1900 block of Fifth Street.
The fire was reported about 8:50 p.m. and was contained a little after 9 p.m. Firefighters spent the next hour extinguishing hot spots, Lyman said.
