The Pen & Podium lecture by Khaled Hosseini, author of “The Kite Runner,” that was scheduled for Thursday at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver has been canceled.
Hosseini had to return to California because of a family emergency.
His lecture will be rescheduled, series organizers said.
