NEW YORK — Natural-gas stockpiles in the U.S. rose to a record 3.589 trillion cubic feet as the worst recession since the 1930s curbed demand, the U.S. Department of Energy said Thursday.
Natural gas for November delivery dropped 37.5 cents, or 7.8 percent, to settle at $4.466 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
