DENVER—A Boulder man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to calling in a bomb threat to an Air Force base in Aurora.

David Charles Barton pleaded guilty June 6 and faced up to 10 years in federal prison.

Jeff Dorschner of the U.S. attorney’s office says Barton was sentenced last week to 18 months in prison and six months in a halfway house. The 27-year-old Barton also was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Prosecutors say Barton called the bomb threat in January into the 460th Security Forces Control Center at Buckley Air Force Base.
