DENVER—The mayors of Philadelphia and Denver say agencies that help the homeless will benefit from their friendly wager over the first-round playoff series between the Colorado Rockies and Philadelphia Phillies.
If the Rockies win, Denver’s Road Home would receive $1,000 from Comcast Corp., $500 from FirstBank of Colorado and $500 from Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania. Denver’s Road Home says it would use the $2,000 to buy Thanksgiving meals and clothing for homeless families.
If the Phillies win, Project H.O.M.E. would receive the $2,000.
