A 33-year-old woman whose neighbors said was pregnant was found dead in her Loveland home Tuesday.
Wednesday, the Larimer County coroner’s office identified the woman as Kelly Burgess.
The coroner’s office said the manner and cause of death were pending investigation, toxicology results and review of microscopic slides.
Loveland police are investigating and have called her death “unintended,” according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald. Police have released no further information about Burgess’ death, and the public information office could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.
Neighbors told the newspaper that Burgess lived in the northwest Loveland home on Gilpin Court with her husband, Brandon Burgess, and young son.
Josh Daniels, a neighbor who went into the house after being alerted that something was wrong, told the newspaper he walked into the house and found Brandon Burgess lying on the floor, crying.
Kelly Burgess’ body was in the garage, Daniels said.
She was dead, he told the Reporter-Herald, and it appeared she had been shot in the head.
