NASHVILLE, Tenn. — When Jason Arnott scored for Nashville at 11:02 of the second period Thursday night, it ended Colorado goaltender Craig Anderson’s shutout streak at 122 minutes, 36 seconds.

Anderson hadn’t allowed a goal since Patrick Marleau’s second score of the game for San Jose at 8:26 of the second period Oct. 1, and he came into Thursday night off a Saturday shutout of Vancouver at home.

Lineup changes.

Colorado defenseman Ruslan Salei and center T.J. Hensick, both scratched in the first two games, were back in the lineup in the 3-2 loss to the Predators. Salei played in a tandem with Kyle Cumiskey and had 19:08 of ice time. Hensick centered a line between T.J. Galiardi and Marek Svatos. With Hensick in the lineup, enforcer David Koci was scratched.

Svatos scores.

Svatos had the goal that gave Colorado a short-lived 2-1 lead in the third period. “We moved the puck well, I got open and I got the great pass from Hensick,” Svatos said. “I was by myself in front of the net. They made it easy for me.”

Duchene review.

Matt Duchene played 19:45 against the Predators and had one shot, and the 18-year-old rookie is still looking for his first NHL goal. “I thought Matt played well, with lots of energy,” Colorado coach Joe Sacco said. “Hopefully, that will help his confidence. I’d like to see him shoot a little bit more, and that’s something we’ll talk about with him. But Matt’s giving it 100 percent out there.”

Opening night.

The announced attendance was 14,797 at the Predators’ home opener in the 17,113-seat Sommet Center.
