Alysha Bonnick scored the game’s only goal as the University of Colorado women’s soccer team fell 1-0 in overtime to host Missouri on Friday night.

Missouri outshot Colorado 23-6 in regulation, but Colorado goaltender Kara Linder kept the Buffaloes in the game with eight saves.

The Tigers scored 36 seconds into overtime to give the Buffs their second straight loss.

Tigers start fast.

William Rapuzzi and Bill Sweatt each had a goal and an assist to lead Colorado College to a season-opening 4-2 win over Northeastern.

Joe Howe turned away 29 shots for the Tigers, who took an early 2-0 lead on goals by Doug Leaverton and Rapuzzi in the first 5:54 of the first period.

Alex Tuckerman’s goal cut it to 2-1 late in the first period.

Colorado College scored the next two goals — by Tyler Johnson in the second period and Sweatt early in the third.

Eagles win in preseason.

The Colorado Eagles beat Arizona in their only preseason game, defeating the Sundogs 3-1 in a penalty-filled contest at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

Dan Welch, Ed McGrane and Felipe Larranaga each scored for the Eagles, and Jason Visser scored the lone goal for the Sundogs.

The teams combined for a total of 240 penalty minutes on 47 offenses.
