Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will stock lakes and ponds across Nebraska with full-sized rainbow trout this month.
The trout will be 9- to 10-inches.
The stocking began Oct. 2 in bodies of water at McCook, Holdrege and Elk Creek. Nearly three dozen other lakes and ponds will be stocked through early November.
The commission says trout fishing is a great way to introduce new anglers and children to fishing because simple fishing equipment may be used.
Nebraska children under the age of 16 do not need a Nebraska fishing permit.
