Admission is only a nickel if you wear a digital watch to the opening reception for New York artist Matthew Buckingham, who is in Colorado for the opening of his show. (No watch? Admission is 10 cents.) His multimedia work examines past, present and future, looking at how images, data and documents disclose stories and prompt memory.

American Mensa, an organization open to anyone who scores in the top 2 percentile on an accepted standardized test, will host test sessions for anyone 14 and older. Mensa hosts game nights, lectures and group meetings for its members, and arranges community service projects and other events.

The late Mary Travers, part of the trio Peter, Paul and Mary, famously interpreted John Denver’s “For Bobbie” as a lullabye. Her version of the song inspired this new picture book by artist Janeen Mason, with the words Denver wrote as an early love song.
