INKOM, Idaho — A bus carrying high school students home from a band competition in Idaho swerved off the road and crashed on an Idaho interstate Saturday night, killing one adult and injuring several students, the school’s band director said.
John Miller, who leads the American Fork, Utah, high school band, said several students were rushed by helicopter ambulance to a hospital in Pocatello, but he didn’t know how seriously they were hurt.
The Salt Lake Tribune said witnesses at the scene identified the person killed as the school’s woodwind instructor.
The crash took place about 7 p.m. on Interstate 15, about 50 miles north of the Utah border.
