Air Force coach Troy Calhoun will wait to decide on a starting quarterback for Saturday’s game against Wyoming. He wants to see how sophomore Tim Jefferson performs in practice.

“I have to see that he’s full speed and not holding back on anything,” Calhoun said of Jefferson, who has been hampered the last three games with an injured right ankle.

Sophomore Connor Dietz started Saturday against TCU and rallied the Falcons after a slow start before they lost 20-17 to the 10th-ranked Horned Frogs.

Linebacker Andre Morris, who left the field in the first half and didn’t return, will be held out of practice at least three days. He’s questionable for Saturday’s game.

Calhoun also said linebackers Ken Lamendola (knee) and Patrick Hennessey (shoulder) have been lost for the season.
