Air Force at Utah, 2 p.m., Saturday, VS

For the record: Utah, ranked 18th in the BCS poll, improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference after a 35-15 victory Saturday at UNLV.

Streaking: With Matt Asiata out with an injury, junior Eddie Wide has stepped up and rushed for at least 100 yards in three consecutive games.

Who’s hot: Defensive back Robert Johnson has four interceptions in the last two games, three against Colorado State and one against UNLV. He also ran a teammate’s fumble in for a touchdown against UNLV.

Who’s not: The Utes have struggled offensively in the red zone, tied for 109th among 120 Football Bowl Subdivision (Div. I-A) teams.

Key stat: Utah’s defense has been tough on third downs, holding opponents to a 26.8 success percentage, which ranks fourth best in the country.

FYI: Air Force has a 14-11 lead in the series, but Utah has won five of the last six meetings.

Coachspeak: “We played a weird game. We never got in sync offensively. We didn’t play very smart, but it’s a win.” — Utah coach Kyle Whittingham after his team overcame 10 penalties for 110 yards against UNLV
