AURORA, Colo.—A 35-year-old gymnastics coach in Aurora has been arrested on allegations he inappropriately touched a teen girl during a training class.
Aurora police say James Curtis Craig III of Englewood was being held Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bond on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust and unlawful sexual contact.
Craig has been a coach at the Saddle Rock School of Gymnastics since it opened in 2007. School owner Tyler Salazar says he did a background check on Craig before hiring him and found nothing that would raise red flags.
Separately, in Centennial, Craig faces a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure that allegedly happened Aug. 21.
