Getting your player ready...

Colorado running back Darrell Scott underwent arthroscopic knee surgery today and will miss 2-3 weeks.

“Everything was fine,” running backs coach Darian Hagan said. “Everything went well, just as Dr. (Eric) McCarty thought it would.”

The procedure was not a serious one, Hagan said, “They just went in and cleaned some stuff up.”

Scott and team trainers are expected to “be really aggressive with his rehab,” Hagan said. The normal time frame would be three weeks, but Scott will push to be back on the field by the Nov. 7 game against Texas A&M. If not, Scott should be ready to play with no complications by the Nov. 14 game at Iowa State.

“They pulled him out because it was getting worse,” Hagan said. “But after he rehabs he’ll be back to 100 percent and we can turn him loose.”

Scott has been in and out of the lineup and has played fewer snaps this season because of the knee. He missed the Wyoming game because of it. Scott initially hurt the knee Sept. 11 at Toledo.

The sophomore is third on the team in rushing with 95 yards. He leads all backs with 4.13 yards per carry.
