EDMONTON, Alberta — Police say a man who took eight people hostage for 10 hours inside the Edmonton Workers’ Compensation building has been charged with unlawful confinement and several weapons offenses. Patrick Charles Clayton, 38, held the hostages Wednesday over what police say was an attempt to settle his score with the Workers’ Compensation board. All hostages were released uninjured.
