Billy Joel and Elton John’s upcoming “Face 2 Face” double-bill at the Pepsi Center was announced with an unusually high-profile news conference earlier this week, but as big as the show is, it’s not unprecedented. The superstar pair also visited the Can in 2001, playing a four-hour marathon set that found them engaging in a bit of “dueling pianos.” Their Nov. 22 date, part of a tour that’s already logged 40 sold-out dates since March, is also meant to highlight the Pepsi Center’s 10th anniversary. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($55-$181, TicketHorse)

Taylor Swift also announced a pair of Pepsi Center shows this week as part of her “Fearless” tour with Kellie Pickler and Gloriana. Tickets for the April 6-7 concerts are on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 via TicketHorse. Check back here next week for prices.

Bon Jovi revealed the dates for its “Circle” tour Thursday via a fan webcast that included a live streaming concert. The tour will stop at the Pepsi Center March 8, with an opener to be announced. Check back here for on-sale dates and prices, or for general tour details.

Bebel Gilberto, daughter of Brazilian musical genius João Gilberto, is far less innovative than her father, but she still does justice to the legacy of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stan Getz and other bossa nova greats with her captivating vocals. Tickets for her Dec. 5 show at the Ogden Theatre are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($27.50, Ticketmaster)

Z-Trip, a.k.a. Zach Sciacca, has been credited with jump-starting the mashup movement, and indeed, his devilish mixes of contemporary hip-hop and ’80s pop rightfully gained him notice early in this decade. He’s since collaborated with a who’s who of turntable and dance-music titans and built a reputation as a stellar live DJ. He plays the Ogden on Dec. 11 with Kid Koala. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($22.25, Ticketmaster)

The Sounds of Seattle Tour, which includes Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains tribute bands, will stop by the Bluebird Theater on Jan. 21. Also announced at the Bluebird this week: Dub Skin with P-Knuckle (Dec. 2), the Grouch (Dec. 3), Ten Out of Tennessee (Dec. 10) and Split Lip Rayfield (Jan. 16). All tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. Visit for prices and times.

“The Most Interesting Show in the World” tour is trying to live up to its name by offering a variety show of acrobats, burlesque performers, contortionists and daredevils. Angelo Moore, lead singer of the idiosyncratic punk act Fishbone, will act as the host when it stops by Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Monday. The event is free, but it’s sponsored by Dos Equis, so you have to sign up for passes at ahead of time.
