COLUMBUS, Neb.—Nebraska deer hunters can use phones or the Internet to report their kills while still in the field or from home computers.
The new Telecheck system began with the deer archery season in September and can be used by all deer hunters except those participating in the firearm season Nov. 14-22.
Hunters can check in their deer kill by calling (800) 405-7700, or online at .
Previously, all deer kills had to be reported at a check-in station. Those stations are still in operation throughout the state.
