The skinny: The Redskins are a study worthy of reality TV. The coach (Jim Zorn) has consistently been rumored to be close to being fired, and rumored to be close to quitting last week when he lost play-calling duties and the quarterbacks said publicly they don’t feel they know what’s going on.
Ah, life in the free-spending world of team owner Dan Snyder, whose money has bought him little thus far. The Eagles are routinely as cohesive as the Redskins are not, so this could get away from Washington quickly.
The difference will be: Just exactly what kind of offense the Redskins can muster in the mess they have created for themselves — especially since Sherman Lewis, whom Snyder wants to call the plays and make the game plans, was just hired as a team consultant this month.
That means the Redskins have Zorn, Lewis and the guy holding the title of offensive coordinator, Sherman Smith, all in the kitchen stirring the soup.
The call: Eagles 27-10.
