GREELEY, Colo.—Greeley police say a man suspected of shooting his friend while they checked football scores told investigators it was “just stupidity” to point the gun at him.
Timothy William Pollard was being held Tuesday on $100,000 bail while prosecutors considered charges of attempted manslaughter and second-degree assault. The 37-year-old was arrested after 28-year-old Robert Knorr was shot in the head Sunday evening.
Knorr is expected to survive.
Police say Pollard and Knorr had been drinking at a bar before they went home to check their fantasy football results. Police say Pollard told investigators he thought the gun’s safety was on when he pointed the gun at Knorr.
