A fight Tuesday at Monarch High School in Boulder County was a result of two high school students being stiffed by two alleged marijuana distributors who were fellow students, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
After the fight, three people were arrested on counts of second-degree kidnapping, robbery and third-degree assault. Two of the three are juveniles. The third person was identified as Jackson Kittilla, 20.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the high school at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday because of a fight among four students.
After investigating, the deputies said the incident was linked to two of the students making arrangements Saturday to buy marijuana in the parking lot at 1600 E. Coalton Road.
There, the would-be purchaser was grabbed from behind and placed in a chokehold. He was told to hand over the money, which he did, according to investigators.
Tuesday morning, the victim and his friend confronted the other two students and told them they wanted their money back. A fight erupted, and Louisville police and the deputies were called.
