A Nederland woman reported that someone wearing a mask from the movie “Scream” attacked her in her home Saturday night, police said.
Nederland police Sgt. Jake Adler said police received a call at 10:21 p.m. that a woman had been attacked at her home in the 300 block of West Pine Street.
When police arrived, they found the woman lying on the ground. She had cuts on her arms and her face, Adler said.
She told police she saw the person approaching her house and went to see what the person wanted. The person pushed his way into the house and attacked her with a knife. She told police that her dogs came into the room, and the person ran away. Nothing was stolen, Adler said.
The woman could not tell police whether the person was male or female, and police don’t know whether the attack was targeted or random, Adler said.
Alder said the woman was taken to a hospital and that some cuts might have needed stitches.
Police had no suspects, Adler said, but they will continue to investigate the case. Boulder Daily Camera
