Boulder County voters were in no mood for taking on big chunks of bonded debt.
Early results showed the county’s ballot issue 1A, which would authorize $50 million in bonds for open space acquisition, was failing 54 percent to 46 percent; and issue 1B, to issue $85 million in bonds to finance green-energy installations, was trailing 53 percent to 47 percent.
Issue 1C, which would allow the county to issue $6.1 million in bonds to improve energy efficiency in county buildings, was leading 54 percent to 46 percent. Question 1D, which would allow the Boulder County district attorney to serve a third term, was almost even, with 49.7 percent voting in favor and 50 percent against.
