Astra Moveo, brought to you by the good folks at Armor All.
Steal This Track, a new feature on Reverb, is THE spot to find out more about Denver’s hottest and most interesting musical acts. This column is more than just a bunch of jittering pixels, however. We’ll also give you the chance to actually HEAR those artists.
That’s right. Every Tuesday, we’ll hip you to some of our favorite artists by offering an absolutely legal, absolutely free download.
This week, we’d like to turn you on to the tasty, electronic dance pop of . Core members Tyler Hayden, James Cromwell Holden and Christophe Eagleton — along with collaborators like Zach Martin of and Brandon Paluska of the late Denver band, — create sexy, slinky dancefloor delicacies that’ll have you strutting and stalking around the club (or your bedroom). Best of all, the melodies and lyrics are memorable enough that you’ll still be humming them the next morning, as you pound ice water, wash off your eyeliner (or guyliner, as the case may be) and regret last night’s escapades.
Astra Moveo has already released a couple of stellar EPs, with standout tracks like “Dollface,” “Wrecked” and “Kill Your Stereo.” The group’s first proper album builds on the dark danceability of the previous work, and is sure to make folks here in Denver and far beyond sit up, take notice and start shaking what their mommas gave them. That record won’t see digital daylight until next month, but you, lucky reader, get to hear a sneak preview of one of our favorite tracks right now.

If you’re a band or musician ready to unleash some fresh sounds on the readers of Reverb, email your tracks to Eryc Eyl for consideration.
Please note that downloads offered via Steal This Track are intended to whet your appetite, and are NOT CD-quality recordings. If you want those, please support the artists by buying their music and/or seeing them live.
Eryc Eyl is a veteran music journalist, critic and Colorado native who has been neck-deep in local music for many years. For the past six years, he’s covered the scene for Westword, but we’re excited to welcome his knowledge, wit and questionable fashion sense into the Post’s folds. Check out Steal This Track every Tuesday for local music you can HEAR, and the Mile High Makeout every Friday.
