WASHINGTON — The White House lost its communications director Tuesday, with Anita Dunn stepping down and Dan Pfeif fer taking over, officials said.
Dunn was hired on an interim basis. Since moving to the West Wing, she has been a fierce defender for the administration and a top target of conservative commentators and led a fight with Fox News.
