Emergency vehicles and “mass casualties” will be seen Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lowry campus at 9235 E. 10th Drive in Aurora.
Hundreds of emergency responders from across the region are expected to participate in the exercise put on by the Community College of Aurora in collaboration with the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.
Community College of Aurora theater and film students will portray victims of severe trauma, including simulated lacerations, abrasions, fractures and impalements.
The Army will deploy odors common to such scenes,raw sewage, gunpowder, burned flesh and hair, vomit and blood.
