LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong (en-DOM-uh-ken) Suh (SOO) is one of four finalists for the Lombardi Award as the nation’s top college football lineman.

Other finalists announced Tuesday by the Houston Rotary Club are Alabama nose guard Terrence Cody, TCU defensive end Jerry Hughes and Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.

The winner will be announced Dec. 9.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Suh has 53 tackles, 13 for lost yards, and five sacks. He also has a team-leading 17 quarterback hurries, three blocked kicks, eight pass breakups, an interception and a fumble caused.

Nebraska has had four Lombardi winners. They are Grant Wistrom in 1997, Dean Steinkuhler in 1983, Dave Rimington in 1982 and Rich Glover in 1972.
