LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson says the quarterback position is one the Cornhuskers need to get solidified as they move into the last three regular-season games.
Watson commented Tuesday after the Huskers’ two-hour practice in half pads at the Hawks Championship Center.
Watson said junior Zac Lee and freshman Cody Green are going through growing pains as the Huskers’ offense continues to struggle. Lee has started seven games and Green two. Nebraska has four offensive touchdowns in four games.
Watson also said receivers Menelik Holt and Curenski Gilleylan have earned their way back into the game rotation after spending the past two weeks with the scout unit.
The Huskers play at Kansas State in a 2:30 p.m. game to be televised by ABC.
