Wyoming’s leading tackler was listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game at San Diego State due to an injury.

Sophomore linebacker Brian Hendricks, from Burlington High School, sprained his right ankle in last weekend’s 52-0 loss to No. 22 Brigham Young. Hendricks leads the Cowboys (4-5, 2-3 Mountain West Conference) with 101 tackles. Wyoming coach Dave Christensen said it hadn’t been determined who would replace Hendricks.

DU golfer Kofstad finishes third.

Denver’s Espen Kofstad carded a final-round 73 to finish in third place at the Saint Mary’s College Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif.

San Francisco’s Domingo Jojola earned medalist honors at 209. The Pioneers finished fourth in the team standings. Nevada won the team title.

CU golfer Bardgett moves into second.

Colorado’s Justin Bardgett shot a 5-under-par 67 in the second round of the UCLA Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle Resort in San Martin, Calif., moving up to second place. Bardgett’s two-round 135 trailed Oklahoma State’s Peter Uihlein by two strokes. Stanford’s Sihwan Kim was third at 136.

The Buffaloes moved up two spots into ninth place in the team standings. Stanford won the event.

CC volleyballer earn NCAA trip.

The Colorado College volleyball team earned a 12th consecutive berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament and a top seed in the West Region. The Tigers (33-4) are one of two teams in the bracket with a first-round bye. They will face California Lutheran or Puget Sound in the second round Friday in Redlands, Calif.

Golfweek: Cougar Canyon No. 1 in state.

Golfweek Magazine named Cougar Canyon Golf Links in Trinidad the No. 14 best resort course in America in its issue out this week. The resort was the highest-ranked in Colorado, followed by the Tom Fazio course at Red Sky Ranch Golf Club in Wolcott at No. 53 and the Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs at No. 67.
