COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Sam Deitz and Gary Seville scored for Fort Collins as the Lambkins defeated Abraham Lincoln 3-0 to win the Class 5A boys soccer title Wednesday night.
Deitz scored on a header in the second minute. Seville scored in the 21st minute with Lancers keeper Gerardo Ramirez on the ground following a save on Ben Walker’s shot. Seville’s second goal came in the 61st minute after he tracked down Peter Boxley’s shot, put the ball on his left foot and swept it over Ramirez from the short side.
It was the seventh shutout of the season for Fort Collins (17-2-1) behind all-state goalkeeper Chris Couperus.
The Lancers finished the season 18-1-1.
