Line: Nebraska by 3 1-2.
Series Record: Nebraska leads 89-23-3.
Last Meeting: 2008, Nebraska 45-35.
What’s at Stake
Nebraska is still in the hunt for the Big 12 North title, a half-game behind Kansas State. The Cornhuskers are coming off a 10-3 win over rival Oklahoma and could use a win over Kansas before facing the Wildcats on Nov. 21. Kansas is looking for anything positive after losing four straight.
Key Matchup
Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh vs. Kansas QB Todd Reesing. Reesing, the Jayhawks’ all-time leader in just about everything, has been reeling the past four games and needs to play better. Suh has been Nebraska’s do-everything defensive leader.
Players to watch
Nebraska: QBs Zac Lee and Cody Green. Lee started the first seven games, was replaced after an eight-turnover game against Baylor, then came back to replace Green after the freshman failed to notch a first down in five series against Oklahoma. Whoever gets the nod this week will need to play well.
Kansas: Reesing, of course. Kansas has had offensive line problems, an ineffective running game, but everything revolves around Reesing. The three-year starter has 10 turnovers during the Jayhawks’ first four-game losing streak in two years and could be down to the final three games of his stellar career if he doesn’t play better.
