ASPEN, Colo.—Forecasters say a storm could leave behind 10 to 17 inches of snow above 11,000 feet in the Sawatch Mountains, including Independence Pass, by late Friday.
The National Weather Service expected 4 to 8 inches of snow in the Craig area with the cold front moving through.
A winter storm warning was in effect for areas including Aspen, Vail and Craig in western Colorado for Friday.
