Bri Morley had 19 kills and 15 digs Friday to help the Metro State volleyball team to a 3-2 (25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 17-25, 15-6) win over Mesa State in the semifinals of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament in Kearney, Neb.

Julie Causseaux (13), Anna Maples (11) and Emily Greenlaugh (10) also reached double figures in kills for the Roadrunners, who will face the host Lopers in today’s championship.

Nebraska-Kearney defeated Colorado Mines 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-11) in the other semifinal behind 10 kills from Nikki Scott and 32 assists and 12 digs from setter Cola Svec. Elizabeth Serra-Hsu had eight kills for the Orediggers.

Pioneers fall in five sets.

Emmy Davidsmeyer and Faimie Kingsley each recorded 16 kills, but host Arkansas-Little Rock rallied to take the final two sets in a 3-2 (25-19, 18-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-12) victory over Denver. Jordan Raines had a double-double for the Pioneers with 10 kills and 16 digs.

AFA’s Volkening saves the day.

Andrew Volkening earned his second straight shutout in spectacular fashion, making a glove save at the buzzer, and Matt Fairchild scored to lead the Air Force men’s hockey team to a 1-0 win over Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.

Denver women’s soccer out of NCAAs.

Portland showed the University of Denver women’s soccer team why it’s ranked No. 2 in the country, blanking the visiting Pioneers 4-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Portland outshot DU 17-2.

Tigers down Minnesota State in OT.

Rylan Schwartz scored a power-play goal at 4:08 of overtime to give Colorado College a 1-0 WCHA victory over Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn.

CC goaltender Joe Howe stopped 31 shots.
