The Chocolate Crisis Center, the sweet mail-order business. It was founded about four years ago by two Denver advertising agency veterans.
“When I need chocolate, I need chocolate right away,” said co-owner Lisa Heppner.
“It’s a real thing and should be acknowledged. People are born with a need to have chocolate.”
The chocolates are packaged in prescription-type jars (“Holiday Blues” peppermint creams), in plastic boxes with lids that snap open to reveal a Nut Case (toffee-chocolate peanuts) or Down Bars (Melt Down, Break Down, Hunker Down, etc.).
