Summit defeated Douglas County 49-0 at Infinity Park on Saturday to win its second consecutive Colorado girls rugby championship. Since its launch in 1997, Summit has become the premier program in the state, with five state titles and two national championships. This past spring, the Tigers finished fifth at the USA Rugby girls under-19 championship. In Saturday’s third-place game, Chaparral defeated Ranch Rugby 14-7. Ranch Rugby is based out of Highlands Ranch.
