A Colorado state trooper suffered serious injuries Friday night at a crash site in Mesa County.
The trooper, Randy White, was investigating a previous crash on eastbound Highway 6 when he was struck by a GM Sierra driven by Tracy Conklin of Grand Junctin.
White was wearing a reflective vest and was partially in the lane of traffic collecting evidence when he was struck about 8 p.m., according to the state patrol.
Conklin was not injured while White was transported via ambulance to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction with serious non-life threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation and charges are pending, accordng to the State Patrol.
