GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Colorado State trooper was hit by a truck in Grand Junction while investigating a traffic accident.
The trooper was taken to a local hospital after the accident Friday night and The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports that the trooper suffered a dislocated shoulder and a closed head injury. State patrol officials identified the trooper as Randy White, a 24-year veteran of the force.
The State Patrol says the driver of the truck was questioned after the accident but investigators don’t suspect that alcohol or drugs were involved. Officials say the accident is still being investigated and charges are possible.
