A Colorado State Patrol trooper suffered serious injuries Friday night at a crash site in Grand Junction. The trooper, Randy White, was investigating a crash on eastbound U.S. 6 when he was struck by a GMC Sierra pickup driven by Tracy Conklin of Grand Junction.

White was wearing a reflective vest and was partially in the lane of traffic collecting evidence when he was struck about 8 p.m., according to the State Patrol. Conklin was not hurt. White was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
