Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska will honor its 13 senior football players before Saturday night’s game against Kansas State.
Second-year coach Bo Pelini says he respects the seniors for working hard and staying committed. Pelini said it’s the team’s job to send them out a winner at home.
The seniors have a four-year record of 30-19 under Pelini and former coach Bill Callahan. Eight of the seniors are in their fifth seasons, and four were walk-ons who earned scholarships.
Nebraska also will honor junior Blake Lawrence, who gave up football at midseason after a series of concussions.
