BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder Valley School District teachers will be voting this week on a proposed 1 percent cost-of-living raise and full coverage of health and dental benefits.
The teachers will be voting Thursday and Friday at each of their 55 schools. Disapproval of the district’s contract offer can lead to a strike. The votes this week come after months of negotiations and a notice of a possible strike in September.
The teacher’s union has been asking for higher starting pay and rewarding teacher education. The union previously rejected an offer of a 1 percent cost-of-living raise.
The union says results of the vote will be announced Friday.
